We name the problem before we sell the fix.
Brand Guidelines
Identity system.
Logo, color, typography, voice, and application rules for the Made Visible brand. Use only what is documented here. Nothing outside this set ships.
The Idea
Not a social, branding, website shop.
That is the commodity trap, and we already killed it. The idea is sharper.
Most studios sell a social, branding, website bundle. It sounds complete. It is a race to the bottom, priced against every freelancer and template on earth.
Made Visible starts from the opposite end: what does an overlooked business actually need to get seen, and stay seen? A brand that holds together. A presence that shows up every day. A site that turns attention into money.
The promise sits in the words. We do not explain the pitch. We make it obvious.
The Wedge
Two things almost nobody combines.
Both sides of the brief, plus the ability to actually build. That gap is the moat.
The Logo
One mark. Two Peaks.
Two forms, one gap shaped like the V in Visible — the letter was always there, we just cut it out. MADE VISIBLE follows in Archivo 900, all caps. Nothing outside this construction is a Made Visible logo. Download logo files →
X = apex-to-base height. One X of air on every side. Never redraw the gap ratio or apex angle by eye.
≈24px tall on screen, 8mm on print. Below that, drop to the mark alone.
Draw spec · coordinates & angles
Outer edges lean 18.8°; inner edges lean 14.6°. The ratio (~1.29) is fixed — drift it and the V stops reading as a letter. Solid fill only. Never a stroke, never a gradient.
Mark alone
Favicons, app icons, avatars, watermarks — the mark drops the wordmark and sits inside a flat ink chip. Never bare on a photo.
Do
- Lead with the full lockup by default.
- Use the mark alone only where the wordmark cannot fit.
- Keep the V gap converging to one point at the base.
- On Paper, peaks are Ink. On Ink, peaks are Signal.
Don't
- Stretch or skew it — the V reads as an arrow the second the ratio moves.
- Float the bare mark on a photo — it always takes the ink chip.
- Crop it tight in a circle without inset.
- Fill it in Graphite, or any color outside Ink / Paper / Signal.
The Signature Device
One highlight. Never two.
The highlighter is the tool people reach for to make something impossible to ignore. It is our thesis in a single gesture. The moment you highlight everything, you have highlighted nothing.
Pattern. Two-line headline: setup line in Paper, punch line behind the skew. Display scale on ink. The contact hero is the reference — match it exactly.
Behaviour. The mark sits behind text, skewed slightly, with a hand-drawn edge. It multiplies onto paper; on ink it reads as a solid Signal block.
Discipline. One highlight per view. A spotlight, not a paint job. Signal only — never Signal Deep.
Reference treatment
Ready to be
made visible?
Contact hero · display headline · ink ground · whole phrase on the punch line · ink type on solid Signal
The skew
Not a sticker. A swipe.
The highlight tilts slightly left, with uneven corners and a touch of rotation — the geometry of a real marker stroke. Flat boxes read like UI chrome. The skew reads like a human decision.
Good but overlooked is fixable.
Multiply blend — one word inside a sentence.
Make it visible.
Solid fill — same skew, no multiply.
Skew geometry · do & don't
Geometry
- Skew
- skewX(−8°)
- Rotation
- rotate(−0.5°)
- Corners
- 2px 5px 3px 4px
- Bleed
- −0.12em L/R · 6–10% T/B
- Blend
- multiply on paper · normal on ink
- Pattern
- setup line + highlighted punch line
Display headlines use the contact treatment. Inline marks use the same skew inside a sentence. Use the .hl class — the geometry is built in.
- Lead with the two-line pattern on ink — setup, then skewed punch
- Keep the skew gentle — one stroke, not a parallelogram
- Let corners vary; no two edges should match
- Place the mark behind the word, never centered like a badge
- Draw a flat rectangle or pill behind text
- Highlight more than one phrase per view
- Push past −12° skew or ±2° rotation
- Rebuild the shape in a design tool without the skew
Color
Ink, paper, and one loud signal.
A near-monochrome system so the accent means something. Restraint everywhere makes the signal land.
Secondary palette · surfaces, counter-colors & in-use previews
Blue is the complement. Everything else extends the grounds or accents a client. Ultra is the only permanent secondary. Surfaces give ink and paper a second layer. Counter-colors: one per project, never pair with Signal in the same view.
Surfaces
Ultra plus second dark and light grounds — panels, depth, print stock.
Counter-colors
One per client brand. For digital, data, and print — never the social feed.

Overlooked is
a fixable problem.
Three offers, fixed scope, fixed price. Signal keeps the one highlight; the accent takes the working layer.
Reach, month on month.
Typography
Four roles. Pick one.
Each font has one job. Select a role to see how it looks in real brand surfaces.
Voice & Tone
Say the sharp thing plainly.
No filler. No corporate hedging. No slides about slides. If a sentence does not earn its place, cut it.
We show the work, not the vocabulary.
We are specific or we are silent.
We sound like a person, because we are one.
What We Sell
Three offers. Fixed scope, fixed price.
Three things we can deliver in our sleep. Not everything for everyone.
The Visibility Sprint
Everything a business needs to look like a real brand, delivered in two to three weeks: positioning, visual identity, a working brand system, and the starting point for social and web. One project, one price, a brand at the end of it.
Always-On Social
A monthly retainer that runs a brand's organic social end to end: strategy, content, community, and growth, reported every month. The presence shows up every day so the founder does not have to.
The Launch Site
A sharp one to five page website, designed and built in-house and live in one to two weeks. Made to convert: clear offer, clear proof, one action. No six-month web project.
The Feed
Eight templates. One recognisable feed.
Always-On Social runs on a fixed kit, not a blank canvas every day. Each post is one of eight formats, so the grid stays coherent while the message changes. Swap the copy, keep the system. All tiles run at 4:5 portrait.
One highlight per tile
The signal marks a single idea per post. Two marks on one tile means one of them is wrong.
The plate signs off
Every tile ends on the marker plate. Signal plate on ink and paper grounds, reversed to ink on signal grounds.
Alternate the ground
Rotate ink, paper, and the occasional signal tile down the grid so the feed has rhythm, not monotony.
and no presence.
